The Challenge
Stunt Pilot, one of the awesome creative agencies we work with, threw down the gauntlet, challenging us to build an advent calendar style microsite. The vision for the RADvent Calendar was to a month-long blast of fun to captivate customers throughout December, promising a trove of delightful surprises each day.
The Solution
Development
We built the RADvent Calendar microsite out within Palmetto’s existing Webflow site, using advanced Javascript and DHTML. A non-standard touch and drag navigational system was developed, providing a more natural feel to browsing the calendar both vertically and horizontally and works equally well on touch devices and with a mouse.
Timers were also incorporated into selected calendar spots which housed contents, ensuring that they could only be opened on a specific date and for a 24-hour period.
Multimedia and Integrations
We integrated a number of different elements into the RADvent Calendar including animated images, videos, contests, and even a Spotify playlist.
The Result
The RADvent Calendar microsite brought a month of holiday cheer to loyal fans and interested newcomers with a daily dose of the excitement, intrigue and fun, including wallpapers, videos, playlists and other assorted digital elements.
